Life in Pieces is an American sitcom idiot box series created by Justin Adler and which premiered on CBS on September 21, 2022 and concluded on June 27, 2019. The serial was produced by 40 or fifty Years, Inc., Kapital Amusement in clan with 20th Century Trick Television, with Adler serving equally showrunner. Life in Pieces was renewed for a fourth season on May 12, 2018, which premiered on April 18, 2019. Life in Pieces was canceled past CBS subsequently 4 seasons on May x, 2019.

Premise [edit]

The series chronicles the lives of 3 generations of the Brusk family unit as they go about their daily lives in Los Angeles Canton. On January 22, 2015, CBS placed a pilot society, under the championship Life in Pieces.[7] The airplane pilot was written past Justin Adler and directed by Jason Winer. On May 8, 2015, CBS placed a serial order.[8] The get-go season was picked up for a total 22-episode order on Oct 27, 2015.[9] On May 11, 2016, CBS renewed the show for a second season,[ten] which premiered on Oct 27, 2016.[11] Life in Pieces was renewed for a third season on March 23, 2017,[12] which premiered on Nov ii, 2017.[13] Life in Pieces was renewed for a fourth flavor on May 12, 2018,[fourteen] which premiered on Apr 18, 2019.[15]

On May ten, 2019, it was announced that CBS cancelled Life in Pieces. A combination of factors, including declining ratings, CBS's desire to have an ownership stake, and the network needing to clear space in getting four new sitcoms in the fall 2022 and mid-flavor schedule, led to the show's demise.[sixteen]

Broadcast [edit]

The show debuted on September 21, 2022 on CBS.[17] The offset v episodes aired on Mondays, earlier it was moved on Nov five, 2015, to a new time slot of 8:30 p.m. ET/PT (7:30 p.one thousand. The first flavour on review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes reports a 62% approval rating with an average rating of 6.58/10 based on 39 reviews. The website'due south consensus reads "Life in Pieces strong cast delivers funny, offbeat stories even if they're non always relatable".[24] On Metacritic, the serial holds a score of 64 out of 100 based on 24 reviews, indicating "generally favorable reviews."[25]
